Put the “automation” in “home automation” in Control4 systems like never before with the new Card Access™ Sensor Bridge!

The Card Access Sensor Bridge is a Control4®-Certified device capable of receiving and interpreting signals from GE/ITI wireless security system sensors. It then “bridges” their signals into Control4 Systems over the EmberNet or ZigBee® PRO wireless network mesh. The device consists of a self-contained, wall-mountable bridge in a plastic enclosure. It is powered by a 12V DC adapter (included).

The Sensor Bridge gives the Control4-automated homeowner use of a wide range of GE wireless security sensors to perform home automation tasks--with or without a GE security system.

The Sensor Bridge installs in minutes and lets you use these less expensive, small-form factor wireless sensors from GE in your Control4 projects. No special “security system” knowledge or complicated home security panel programming is required.* These wireless sensors are smaller in size and use a lot less power (with battery life of up to 5 years**) than any other wireless sensors currently available in the Control4 programming environment.

Works with or Without a GE Security System
Are you working with a customer who plans to install or already has a GE security system? No problem. Just add the Sensor Bridge to the project and get home automation “double duty” from the security system's wireless sensors—all with no security panel programming. The Sensor Bridge has no effect on the installed security system's operation or performance.

Control4 Composer Integration
Using DriverWorks™ drivers developed by Card Access for many of the popular GE Wireless Sensors used in security systems, Control4 programmers identify, configure, bind and program them directly in Composer. Use them to monitor open and closed states and program events the same way you would use any other sensor.

Homeowners will enjoy the same Navigator display capabilities with familiar icons you configure by binding the GE Wireless Sensors to the Control4 proxy of your choice.

The following GE Wireless Sensors are supported for use with the Card Access Sensor Bridge:

• GE Micro Door/Window Sensor
• GE Recessed Micro Door/Window Sensor
• GE Water-Resistant Panic Pendant
• GE Wireless Smoke Detector
• GE Wireless Carbon Monoxide Detector

And remember, if the homeowner already uses these GE Wireless Sensors in their GE security system, the Sensor Bridge makes them available for home automation and lifestyle event programming WITHOUT any interference with their GE security system.

ZigBee Repeater
Did we mention the Sensor Bridge is a ZigBee Repeater, too? It gives you the same mesh-strengthening effect you’ve come to know and love in our Wireless Contact Relay. All you have to do is install it and watch your mesh network range and performance improve.
